                      The Hogendiek Bridge is a fixed wooden bridge connecting Mittelnkirchen and Steinkirchen. Built in 1975, the 42 m long and 1.5 m wide Hogendiek Bridge was modeled after the old Dutch drawbridges, which were also typical of the Altes Land region. This beautiful pedestrian and bicycle bridge was renovated in 2014 with a largely identical new structure with a solid foundation.
