    This beautiful lookout towers over the Gröden mountains and is visible from afar. You can just as well look up into the distance from up there. In good weather even parts of the Elbsandsteingebirge can be seen.

        A really beautiful wooden tower. The panoramic view from the top platform is really great.
        Apparently there is a lot going on on Reformation Day. A brass band and two priests were present. Song sheets for singing along were also handed out.
        A bakery sales van provided refreshments.

              Absolute #musthave on your tour through the Merzdorf / Hirschfeld forests, right on the border with Brandenburg. If you have made the 162 steps over several floors, there is a world-class panoramic view in all directions. With a clear view, of course, absolutely mega. Small cards are attached to the parapets, indicating which places are and how far away, absolutely helpful. It's always worth going there and climbing up. Especially since the descent is a great reward.

                  Highly Recommended. The ascent is a bit tedious, but the view (easily 50-80km) is absolutely worth it. On each floor there is a small bench to take a break. After the ascent you can enjoy a great descent with a gradient of up to 20%.
