Absolutely awesome, but really not entirely harmless summit ridge. I think that no description here takes the thing into account well, and since I definitely do not want to lead someone here who does not know what to expect, here is the unabridged excerpt from my blog (adventtour.net post / heldenkreuz-zum-osterfeuerkopf-a-high-alpine-summit ridge-im-foothills)
"The path, which was previously wide and well-maintained, is now just a tiny, unmarked trail, which is sometimes not easy to spot between the tall tufts of grass. However, it is still not possible to get lost here, because after the first few steps it becomes clear That we are now on a thoroughbred ridge. 700 meters, 250 meters in altitude to the other end sound small and innocent, but at the beginning of the steep section at the latest you can see what is really behind these numbers. We cross over a flat, foot-wide ridge Abysses, only to then climb a grassy wall that is so steep that your hands are almost automatically used to help. If you feel your knees go weak on this very first of the three steep steep sections, I have to advise you to turn around .

The above-mentioned key points increase in steepness, exposure, difficulty and safety of the fatal outcome in the event of a fall from time to time. At the same time, after passing the first core point, a demolition is probably only conceivable by helicopter rescue by the mountain rescue, because how difficult and dangerous the passages uphill may be, downhill I consider them irresponsible without a rope and climbing harness. The ridge finally culminates in an approx. 30 meter high scramble, which I would rate as UIAA I - II from a gut feeling and which reminds me personally of the summit ascent of the Arnplattenspitze ... "

A relatively short but challenging route to the Osterfeuerspitze. The trail is still rooty up to the Heldenkreuz, after which it gets serious. The rest of the path is unmarked but clearly visible. There are steep drops to the right and left, so you'll definitely need a head for heights. The crux of the route is a roughly 20-meter-high rock face that's not difficult to climb but quite exposed. A truly exciting tour, but the route isn't suitable in wet or slippery conditions, and I wouldn't necessarily want to go downhill either.
