The "Zimne Doły" recreation and recreation facility is the largest and best-equipped facility of this type in the Chojnowskie Forests. Due to its secluded and quiet location, it is a perfect place for (also active) relaxation.
"Zimne Doły" is a complex of beautiful park-like birch forests and forest lawns. The whole area is adjacent to the Zielona River and Żabienieckie Ponds on one side, and to the Warecki Route (district road) on the other. A number of wooden shelters of various sizes are located in the shade of the trees. The standout among them is the "Amphitheatre" - a large shelter in a circular shape. All shelters are equipped with fireplaces. The whole is complemented by a playground and an observation tower. You can freely leave your car in the spacious parking lot at Trakt.
"Zimne Doły" is the intersection of hiking trails and the starting point of the nature and forest path. An additional attraction is the nearby "monkey grove".
The "Zimne Doły" nature reserve was adapted for recreational purposes in the 1970s. Until August 25, 1944, there was a gamekeeper's lodge in this place. On that day, it was burned during a skirmish between soldiers of the National Armed Forces and the Germans. A monument placed next to the parking lot testifies to its dramatic history. Next to it there is also a monument commemorating the participation of Masovian Foresters in the fight for Independence.
