        Although I grew up in the Weser Uplands, it was my first visit to the Corvey Castle / Monastery.
        Visits are possible every day, but tours with a lot of background information are only available on Saturday and Sunday at 11.00 a.m. If you don't know and miss that, it would be a shame. It lasted 2 hours instead of 1.5 hours, but I hadn't noticed that at all. My guide gave very interesting insights and information.
        When I got back to my bike, I was surprised that it was after 1 p.m. - I wanted to go to Hameln.

                                                A visit to the former Benedictine monastery of Corvey is definitely worthwhile. Founded in the 9th century, it has been of great importance over the centuries, but has also undergone great changes. Today it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Take your time to visit and take a guided tour - it is overwhelming.

                                                You cannot take your bike inside, but there are plenty of places to lock it up. Information about the guided tours and opening times as well as admission prices can be found here: corvey.de.
