At the beginning of the 1960s, three blocks of flats were built in the middle of the forest (a fourth was added later). The settlement got the name of the Soviet cosmonaut Adrijan Nikolajew. Probably because he was circling the earth with Wostock III during part of the construction period. Most likely because of the relationship to the object located next door: an anti-aircraft missile position of the NVA (NVA - FRA 4322 Barth). Most blocks are empty and look very dilapidated. The last block still seems to be inhabited.

Looks more like Lost Place. But in addition to a lot of rubbish, there are also stocks of building materials... What is planned here in the middle of the forest?

Google doesn't know everything either. 😉 I found a few blogs about the history of the place, e.g. meine-paralipomena.com/2019/08/22/preparierte-eskalkationen or lostplacewunderland.wordpress.com/2020/02/08 nva-fra-4322-barth/ and a draft project for social housing atelierrtz.de/Projekte/A-G/ANS/NEU-E-ANS/body_neu-e-ans.html from 2017. Apparently implementation started, but is this still up to date? Construction is currently on hold.
