                          Berkendonk is a public recreation area on the east side of Helmond, which is free of charge. The western part is used for beach and water activities such as sunbathing, swimming, surfing and sailing.

                          Recreational area (with nudist beach) and water sports
                          Berkendonk is divided into 2 parts: there is a recreational area and a part especially for water sports. The (general) recreational area is divided into two areas: a nudist beach (part of the northern beach) and a 'textile' area, where you can recreate in swimwear. You may swim within the lines (the line that lies in the middle of the lake). The remaining part is designed for water sports. You may not swim there.
                          Berkendonk is a public recreation area, which is free of charge. The western part is used for beach and water activities such as sunbathing, swimming, surfing and sailing.
                          Berkendonk recreational lake is located on the Helmond-Deurne road.

                            The naturist section is located on the northwest side (forest side).
                            The sailing and surfing section may only be used with a membership of the relevant club/association. To gain access to the sailing and surfing beach, you can become a member of one of the two water sports associations: Windsurfing Berkendonk or Jeugdzeilvereniging Berkendonk.
                            You can park for free, but there are a limited number of parking spaces. We therefore advise you not to come by car after 12:00 when temperatures are above 25 degrees.
                            Berkendonk has the following facilities: toilet and shower buildings, catering, playground equipment, first aid room, youth sailing association, surfing association, Helmondse watervrienden (part of the Rescue Brigade) and naturist beach.
                            The recreational lake is supervised between 1 May and 1 September from 11:00 to 18:00.
