Half-timbered houses, superb mansions and the fortified wall surround the 12th century keep.
Even today, the city organizes every other year the "Medieval", various activities which remind tourists of the history of the region.

The medieval town of Domfront, founded in the 9th century, sits high on its hill above the Varenne Valley and has still kept its rich past alive today. It's not just the charming squares and alleys that invite you to stroll, the Romanesque keep from the 12th century, the towers of the fortress wall, the picturesque half-timbered houses, the elegant townhouses and the inner courtyards also enchant visitors.
The Domfronts church dates from the 20th century and has the interior of a Byzantine cross. With its pillarless spaciousness, the church is very beautiful. It is a listed building.
