It presides over its church, all stone and barrel vaulted, rebuilt after the earthquakes of the 15th century, a devout Gothic image of alabaster, restored and again polychrome in 1922. The church forms a complex with a large building or inn, former hermits' house, largely rebuilt between 1599 and 1648.
