It is true that this circuit is splendid!! On the other hand, it should be noted that the legislation has not changed since the towing of the barges by horses.... and that the towpath of the Canal de l'Ourcq is prohibited to traffic even by bicycle!! (which some grumpy walkers point out). It would be good if the Paris City Hall (owner of the canal) lifts this ban which nowadays is obsolete, because the paved track... so so :)
