From the lookout tower on Mühlenberg you get a good overview of the hilly landscape of the Kalkeifel and the town of Marmagen. The ancestors of Alexandre Gustave Eiffel, who built the Eiffel Tower in Paris, come from this Eifel village. Because of their origin, they called themselves Eiffel when they emigrated to France.
The Eifel National Park can also be seen from the Mühlenberg. The Kermeter high forest and the Dreiborn plateau are the "heart" of the national park and should develop into almost untouched virgin forests in the future.
Last but not least, the Steinfeld Monastery can be seen from here. An interesting and worth seeing architectural monument that looks back on a long tradition.
The observation tower is located at an altitude of 546 meters above sea level in the freely accessible area of the Eifelhöhen Clinic. The "barrier-free landscape path" with numerous stations invites you to experience nature for all the senses.

The 2006 lookout tower on the Marmagener Mühlenberg offers unique panoramic views of the Eifel. Larch wood was chosen as the building material for the tower, because it combines several advantages: Larch is a native type of wood that is naturally weather-resistant. A total of around 18 cbm of larch wood was used, the total height of the building is 11.60 m. The construction of the lookout tower in the style of a wooden stand made it possible to keep the construction costs low at around € 30,000.
