The Hochschwangweg connects the Bettlachberg and Oberes Brüggli mountain restaurants. In summer you cycle here on mountain bikes and in winter you hike with snowshoes... There are fireplaces and a fountain along the way. When the horses and cows are outside, there are four gates on the track that you have to open and close. This feels more exhausting than cycling 😅

The restaurant has been open again since August 1st, the two "hosts" Celine and Marc are fully motivated and hope for a good start.
Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays
Wed - Sun open from 9 a.m.
Special opening times (closed society) are announced on the HP bettlachberg.ch.

Unfortunately, the Bettlachberg restaurant is very often not open to day guests due to private parties. A bit stupid if you are not familiar with the area and want to take a break from hiking or biking. I have encountered frustrated hikers several times because of this. Those potential guests will never come back, and neither will their friends. Incidentally, I wouldn't even think of consulting the website beforehand.
