The term chateau is overused, it is in fact a large neo-medieval style manor house characteristic of the large resort houses of the late 19th century on the pink granite coast. The building, with a complex massing resulting from several extensions, is made of pink granite from the quarries of La Clarté, Perros-Guirec district. The roof is slate. Its interior was designed with reclaimed wood from a three-master beached in winter 1896, the Mauritius.
This was built on an islet bought by Bruno Abakanowicz (also called Bruno Abdank, who built a little later around 1896 the Hôtel Bellevue in Ploumanac'h), engineer and mathematician of Polish origin at the end of the century. summer 1892 to the customs officer René Le Brozec, a Perrosien who cultivated potatoes there and dried lichen and fish.
