The Rabenessel area refers to a group of red sandstone rocks near Maua and is popular with Jena climbers, as you can also scramble outside the hall here. A path leads along the foot of the rocks to the climbing opportunities - the "100-kilometer horizontal" takes you from Maua up to the vantage point, from which you have a beautiful view of the Leuchtenburg.
