The type "Guildhall" is obtained at the Princely Quarry in Romberg bei Gildehaus and is white to greyish-orange. The Gildehauser sandstone is mined in the lower part of a historic quarry in the so-called main sandstone and the block sizes are due to the existing gaps 4.50 × 1.50 × 1.00 meters in size, which are further divided. Part of the orange variety is occasionally broken on the eastern outskirts of Bentheim.

This section leads along the top of the quarry and offers beautiful views, at least now in winter. It's actually a beautiful path.

I was horrified, however, by how many landmines there were on and along the path. Even worse, the many bagged dog droppings that are simply thrown over the edge of the quarry. Unbelievable.
