Hartenfels Castle, steeped in history, is considered a masterpiece of the Renaissance, but it is not only a special place from an architectural point of view. History was also truly made here, because in the first half of the 16th century Torgau advanced to become the political center of the Reformation and Martin Luther personally inaugurated the castle chapel in 1544.
