I can only associate myself with. A beautiful landscape that is so rare to find in Germany. But if you can, you should avoid the snak season (around the end of June to mid-September) as much as possible, because the Kühkopf offers perfect development opportunities for the beasts in flood years like 2021.

The ferry to the Knoblochsaue only runs a few days a year!

In my experience, you can also drive there during the mosquito season, but you're not allowed to stop. As far as I know, the ferry is no longer in service.
