Colle del Mulo (2,527 m a.s.l.) connects the Vallone di Marmora with the Meja-Gardetta plateau located in the upper Maira valley. On the Gardetta side it is reached by an ex-military cart track, dating back to the 30s / 40s. On the Marmora side the road is incomplete (it was not finished due to the war events of 1943) and the hill can only be reached by footpath.
