The Hansdorfer Mühlenteich was a shallow pond between meadows and fields that had been dammed by the Mühlendamm for the purpose of operating a watermill.
It is not known with certainty where the watermill stood exactly. It probably stood where Schulz's house now stands, next to the Dunker inn - on Mühlendamm. There used to be a large millstone there that only very old Hansdorfers can remember.
In front of Schulz's house there used to be a bay of the pond. This was filled up with household waste in the early 1920s. They said rubble dump back then. Today we would call it a rubbish dump. After the mill no longer existed, the mill pond was used as a fish pond.
