The lake is one of the quieter hiking spots in the area. Most people go to Drüsensee or Gudower See.
Here you have a little more peace and quiet and can easily extend your walk to include Gudower See because there is a small route along the stream that leads directly to the neighboring lake.

The Sarnkekower See is isolated and surrounded by forest to the west of the small town of Gudow. The Hellbach flows from the Gudower See via the Sarnekower See through the Hellbachtal into the Drüsensee near Mölln.
A circular path around the lake allows you to explore the banks of the quiet lake. The lake cannot be reached directly by car, but the Kaiserberg car park is not far away and is a good starting point for a tour around the lake and the surrounding area.
The banks are heavily overgrown with trees and the reed belts, especially on the north bank, make fishing from the bank difficult. The fish population is particularly characterized by the large number of perch, which are regularly caught here in considerable sizes. But pike and carp can also be found here in good sizes. Due to its remote location, the lake is ideal for a quiet day by the water to escape the stress of everyday life and is just the thing to get some fresh air in beautiful nature.
