The long trail stretches across the entire mountain range. This means that it also offers practical connection options in sections. Very interesting over the full length if you are sporty (3 crisp climbs, many small technical challenges). After rain and in cooler months often soggy for a long time. Great in winter on frozen ground. 6/21 an archery parkour was built around the trail near Scheiblingstein. [Komoot deleted the 2nd half towards Hainbuch.]

The trail leads from Hainbuch directly to the Sofienalpe and is a seemingly endless and very exhausting singletrack (mainly uphill), especially in autumnal, humid conditions. But also very demanding under optimal circumstances! Apart from that, the scenery is incredibly beautiful and the trail is also a journey through various facets of the Vienna Woods dar. Can you have driven once but it is not na no na;)! The trail is very good and infallibly marked with the number # 1 (seen on one of the attached pictures) Greets to the community

Far more fun coming from the Sophienalpe than the other way around. In the middle of the trail there is a rocky uphill that can only be driven when it is completely dry. Downhill but possible in any weather.

For me it's comparable to the two Roan trails (up-down, often muddy, a bit technical), only longer.

I drove it with the Enduro from Hainbuch to Sophienalpe last fall and have to say that I can't really recommend the trail! The scenery is very nice but I find the trail bland and would not drive it again! It goes uphill and then downhill again ... I definitely need more action, but the trail with an XC bike is definitely a little more fun.

According to the Wienerwald homepage, “damaged by forestry work”. I rode the trail on March 17, 2024 and would strongly advise against it. In my opinion it has not only been damaged but is barely there anymore. Some 50cm deep Havester tracks and holes where the trail used to run!

The Scheiblingstein Trail, with its constant uphill and downhill sections, isn't a classic downhill trail. It can be quite strenuous, especially towards Sophienalpe. It's essentially a hiking trail with a few roots and, above all, a lot of mud. I don't know the route in dry conditions... There are no technical challenges, so it's no problem for beginners either.
