The path is comfortable, it runs through the old agricultural terraces of the Vall de Bóquer at the foot of the imposing wall of the Serra del Cavall Bernat, fierce and inaccessible in appearance. The old agricultural plots are quite feral due to lack of exploitation and the autochthonous Mediterranean garrigue is colonizing the slopes of the coastal mountains, off the beaten track and peasant sidewalks it is difficult to walk. The wide and comfortable path ends at the extensive Coll del Moro, which has remains of buildings and dry stone walls. The views of Cala Bóquer are beautiful, a true pirate refuge in one of the last calcareous fangs of the Tramuntana before forming the rugged coastal ranges of Formentor.

The area around Cala Bóquer is of great historical importance. Because the Stone Age Mallorquins are said to have lived here. The name Bóquer derives from Bocchoris and can be traced back to Roman origins. Together with the Roman city of Pollentia (today Alcúdia), this settlement area was one of the most important areas of the island during Roman rule.

Even earlier, around 1500 BC. Christ, the original Mallorquins already lived in the valley of Cala Bóquer. They built a settlement in a part of the bay that is difficult to access, the ruins of which are today the oldest and most important evidence of early settlement on Mallorca.

A fairly leisurely hike through a nature reserve, without any particular challenge. There's little shade.

The name "Bóquer" refers to the Roman settlement of Bocchoris, which was located here. Remains of walls and pottery from the 3rd and 4th centuries are said to have been found here.
Later in the 17th century, agriculture was practiced here. The Font de Senmenter and the houses at the entrance to the valley also date from this period.

Very beautiful and stony valley. In the winter months you also have shade from the surrounding mountains - especially on the right hiking trail. It can be a bit warmer down in the valley. There are stone walls - which were drawn for cultivation.

A very beautiful valley, which used to be used for agriculture. A relatively easy hiking trail leads from a small gravel parking lot near Port de Pollencia to the bay. The hike is accompanied by local goats.

A 60 minute walk from the last roundabout in Port Pollenca towards Formentor leads to this gem. An easy hike (approx. 2.5 km to Cala Boquer) through untouched nature. With a bit of luck you can spot rare birds. At the end of the valley it gets a little bumpy. The entrance to the valley leads through private property.
