Very nice tour, through what felt like an unreal wasteland. It is essential to think of sun protection and water, as there is virtually no shade and there are no places to stop for a break. The path is very well marked and easy to walk.

The Malpaís de Güimar coastal path is one of the most spectacular and original walks you can do in Tenerife and simply seems to be from another planet.
Although it is only about 4-5 km between El Socorro and Puertito de Güimar, the orography of the terrain means that you cannot walk at a good pace, so the distance that you would normally cover in an hour takes twice or three times as long.

Enchanting place where solidified lava flows can be observed. A hat is recommended for the great heat and blazing sun. No trees are present for shelter.
