A highly recommended show mine. It goes down in a rope ride and if you get the right guide, there is a lot to laugh about. The mine also offers special tours for those with a bigger budget, some of which require waders. That smells like adventure and at some point we'll make it come true.

The Röhrigschacht is a former copper slate mine as well as today's mining museum and show mine in Wettelrode in the Harz mining region in the district of Mansfeld-Südharz in Saxony-Anhalt.

The opening times are:
June to August: Tue - Sun 9.30 a.m. - 5 p.m.
September to May: Wed - Sun 9.30 a.m. - 5 p.m.
It is open on public holidays, except for Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Years Eve and New Years Eve.
Cable travel times: 10:00 a.m., 11:15 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 1:45 p.m., 3:00 p.m.
