You look out into a huge arena of ice and rock, in the background Piz Tschierva, Piz Morteratsch, Piz Bernina with the famous Biancograt, Piz Roseg and the Sella group surrounded by impressive glaciers. Around the Fuorcla Surlej are mute signs of the last ice age.

    From Fuorcla Surlej, which you can either laboriously climb from Val Roseg or reach by cable car from the north, you have a fantastic view: Many small rocks invite you to linger for a long time. From here you are very close to the large glaciers of Piz Roseg and Piz Palü, the highest peak in Graubünden. There is also a small lake right next to a hut with refreshment stops.
