The Große Tonteich (also called Körbiskruger Tonsee) is a body of water in the municipality of Bestensee.
The lake is not of natural origin. It was created around 1900 when numerous brick factories were being built in the region. After the extraction of clay was stopped, the holes filled with groundwater.
The lake is used as bathing water and for fishing. There are two campsites with a nudist facility on the southern bank. There is a hiking trail around the lake, which is marked with a green dot on a white background.
