The Maulbronn Monastery World Heritage Site is one of the best-preserved medieval monastery complexes north of the Alps. The Cistercian character of the architecture and also the surrounding cultural landscape is visible almost unadulterated. When visiting, you should not only see the monastery itself, but also the surrounding area by taking a short hike or cycling tour.

A fascinating complex! "Maulbronn is considered the most completely preserved medieval monastery complex north of the Alps. The Cistercians began construction in the mid-12th century, and over the centuries, a huge monastic town developed. The monastery has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993."
