Newberry Springs
As the name suggests, there is something of great value here: a water source. Early wagon tracks following the Mormon Trail in the mid-1800s stopped here to drink from the first water source since the Colorado River, as did the later railroad. Oddly enough, one place only came into being around 1911, which is relatively late compared to other "dry" places in the region, to which the railway had to bring tankers with fresh water to make life possible at all.
