The body of water is considered rich in fish. There are all important Central European fish species such as eel, perch, bream, crayfish, gable, grass carp, white bream, pike, crucian carp, carp, ruff, bighead carp, mildew, asp, roach, rudd, tench, silver carp, mirror carp, catfish and zander is therefore interesting for coarse and predatory fish anglers. Guest anglers can purchase fishing permits for this body of water.
The fishing waters are managed by the fishing and conservation association Steinachtal e.V. Coburg.
