The Friedrichsturm stands on the Badener Höhe. The tower with 168 steps offers an excellent view of the Rhine plain. There are a few places to sit and a shelter right next to the Friedrichsturm.

Via a spiral staircase in the tower one arrives after 35 steps to the lower observation platform, which lies above the oblique supporting pillars in approximately 6.5 m height. Another 133 steps lead to the upper platform, on which the staircase exit is protected by a lockable metal superstructure.

Built in 1890. Wonderful view over the northern Black Forest and the Rhine plain in the north-west to the Palatinate Forest and in the south-west Strasbourg and Vosges. Easy climb over the surrounding treetops. Below also refuge and explanation board.

Maren wonderfully described all the facts. Top! Before Lothar, my hikes to the tower always looked the same. Dark dark through the narrow spruce and fir trees along the way and only immediately in front of the tower, it was light and you could see the truly beautiful stone tower. The Friedrichsturm is more than worth a hike. Views as far as the Vosges, even the children were impressed. The tower is open all year round. Especially in the afternoon when the sun is slowly going down - simply wonderful. There are a few benches in front of the tower where you can relax or have a snack. A hut offers shelter and shelter on windy days. Up here it whistles at an altitude of 1,000m, depending on the season, hats are recommended
