Warsteiner forest nature trail

In the vicinity of the Bilstein valley and the Warsteiner zoo, the Warsteiner forest adventure trail offers 4 different hiking routes with different aspects. These are illustrated by boards and demonstration objects. The paths are marked with different symbols so that you don't get lost.
Route 1: Traces of old forest trades

This deals with forest professions from the earliest times and takes about 1.5 hours. The lifelike replica of a charcoal pile and display boards give a precise insight into the working world of bygone times.
Route 2: Forest ecosystem

The forest ecosystem is presented here and the route takes about 2 hours.
Route 3: edge of the forest and corridor

The contrasts between the edge of the forest and the field are made clear on this route. The duration for the inspection of the educational trail 3 is approx. 1.5 hours.
Route 4: Forestry - forest trees - forest dieback - forest management

Here you will get a detailed insight into the problems of modern forestry and forest management. The topic of forest dieback is also considered on this nature trail. The hiking time for this nature trail is approx. 2.5 hours.
