The Erbachklamm is simply a great hiking trail for young and old.

After a great autumn hike in 2017, the gorge has its special charm in spring. Highly Recommended.

A short, steep ascent is rewarded by a magnificent view over the forests and valleys. Currently (season: autumn) the color play of the forest reminds of an Indian Summer! Fantastically beautiful!

A great nature with beautiful little waterfalls along the trail.

wonderful tour, also for children from about 5 years.
Personally, I would not bring a stroller (many parents have to wear then .....).
Be sure to "water sandals" or water-suitable shoes, so you can enjoy the cool, wild wet in places. This is a special nature experience including Kneipp effect.
Also pack a good insect repellent in the summer.

This is one of the more than 100 existing "Saar-Hunsrück dream loops" that make the large area south of the Moselle very attractive as a hiking destination. In the brochure it is described with the words "With magnificent views, the hiking trail leads from the Hunsrück plateau ... into the deep Ehrbach valley. In complete isolation, the path runs along a narrow path along the stream. There are steep ascents and descents with ... surprising views." The dream loop is 8.5 kilometers long, 390 meters in altitude and is described as taking 3 to 4 hours to walk.

The Ehrbachklamm was opened up in 1921 by the pharmacist Georg Francke from Boppard (1860 to 1926). In 1991, a commemorative plaque was placed in the Ehrbachklamm to mark the 70th anniversary of its existence.

The Eherbachklamm can also be combined very well with the Schöneck loop. Both dream loops together then have about 15 km.

Wonderful tour, the gorge is nice and cool in the heat. The route is demanding, with some very slippery and steep passages, but it can also be done for the more anxious and careful hiker. Sturdy shoes and a trekking pole are recommended
