The Jodokus chapel dates back to the 18th century and is still the target of the Lommersdorf petition processions. According to legend, the holy iodokus rested here and ate his bread. The chapel is very picturesque behind Lommersdorf; there is also a small picnic area here.

The small chapel dates from the Baroque period (built around 1750) and is dedicated to Saint Jodocus. Saint Jodocus, born in France in the 7th century, was a monastery founder, hermit and pilgrim. He has always been particularly revered by farmers, as he is said to be a good advocate for favorable weather and for illnesses in humans and animals. Source: Information board on site.
