Magnificent view
The view from the 352 meter high horn rock offers an impressive panorama. Looking south, you can see the pent-up Rhine with the Swiss port facilities and the Birsfelden power plant in the foreground. Behind it is the Basel agglomeration with Birsfelden, Münchenstein and Grossbasel. Further to the west, behind the Kleinbasel on the right bank of the Rhine, the old town of Basel with the cathedral towers rises. Towards the southeast you can see the Grenzach-Wyhlen municipality with its industrial facilities in the foreground and the Muttenz municipality and the northern end of the Gempen plateau on the Swiss Rhine side.
