From the hiking trail sign tree in the center of Friedrichsbrunn, the path initially leads in a north-westerly direction through the forest road that branches off from the main road. Past Schützenplatz, continue straight ahead into the Tiefenbachtal (yellow bar). Lined with partly steep slopes, the route now crosses the Tiefenbach several times and meets the hiking trail with the green dot at a refuge.
Following the yellow bar / green dot you will pass numerous cliffs and rock formations, of which the »glassworks heads« on the left side of the path are the best known. At another refuge you meet the hiking trail from Allrode to Treseburg. Here the Tiefenbach flows into the Luppbode, which you now follow downstream to Treseburg.
When you arrive at the Bodetal information center in Treseburg, you can either take the bus back or hike back via the Hexentanzplatz. If you still have some time, the clock museum is worth a visit.
