📝 The Ottilien Spring is located in the "Wildfrauenloch" (Wild Woman's Hole) in the municipality of Rutsweiler am Glan, below the Schwarzenkopf mountain. First mentioned in 1303, it was captured in 1894 by forestry assessor Johann Baptist Moser and equipped with a well. The water from the tunnel spring once shot up to seven meters high in a fountain-like manner. The name "Ottilien Spring" probably originates from Moser's wife and daughter. Today, the spring is a popular resting place for hikers.
