The park and the Hercules monument are landmarks of Kassel. The size of the park is enormous, and the Hercules monument is no exception. Anyone who wants to climb the Hercules monument from the park should be a good walker. After all, you have to climb stairs to the monument. There is of course a place to stop for refreshments, but it is a good 220 meters up. There is also a fee to climb the Hercules (but that only applies to the Hercules itself), the path and everything else in the park is free.
