The Knights Wirnt Fountain, from 1789, stands on the market square of the small town of Gräfenberg. The hexagonal fountain commemorates the city's most famous son, the minstrel "Wirnt von Grafenberc", who was born here in 1170. He was a minstrel and author of the heroic epic "Wigalois, the knight with the wheel".

Nice town hall with a so-called "Nuremberg oriel". The historic Gräfenberg town hall has been the seat of the Gräfenberg city council since 1871. In 1989 the building was renovated, restored and the baroque facade painting exposed.

Graefenberg, with its then around 200 inhabitants, received market rights in 1333 by Emperor Ludwig the Bavarian.
Unfortunately today the cars are in the foreground. There are still some traditional shops / family businesses.

Nice market place, some houses are well repaired and have nice facades. At the Fünf-Seidla-Steig you come directly through the market square. You should take some time to look at the beautiful place.
