A very nice hiking trail along the Mulde. The Rabenstein crowns it with a beautiful view of the landscape. The “Way of the Stones” also leads along here with 26 stations, including stone signposts, seat stones, standing boards and sculptures.

A suspension bridge leads to Grimma via the hollow. If you follow the hiking trail from Rabenstein towards Höfgen, you will pass a historic ship mill and you can have the ferryman put you back across the trough in Höfgen and reach the Nimbschen monastery (known by Katharina von Bora, the Lutherin).

The Rabenstein and the Königsnase on the opposite bank of the river bear witness to the breakthrough of the Mulde 160,000 - 130,000 years ago. At the end of the Saale glacial period, the river made its way through the hard volcanic bedrock, until then still diverging to the west. Since then it has flowed north from Grimma. The Rabenstein is also known as the Trompeterfelsen. According to tradition, a trumpeter jumped into the water here during the Thirty Years' War to escape from his enemies.
