The historic Obermühle - farm shop and organic farm
Welcome to the Obermühle in Gottsdorf near Luckenwalde! Our mill was first mentioned in 1285 and is unique as a water mill in Brandenburg. It has been our family home for over 100 years. We face this great responsibility with a lot of diligence, care and joy.

A farm has always belonged to our grain mill. He secured the livelihood of the miller's family, since they had to support themselves. Thanks to today's Potsdam organic baker Fahland - our main customer for 29 years - and other smaller craft businesses that have been loyal to us for over 50 years, our mill will continue to exist in the future. Incidentally, cattle breeding developed as our second mainstay. We have been selling flour and meat, two important staple foods, in our farm shop for years now.

However, please note that we are busy from morning to night and the farm shop is only open once or twice a month. You can see our opening hours under the date of the meat sale. Gottsdorf, 140 inhabitants, is off the main roads a few kilometers north-west of Luckenwalde and is one of 23 (!) districts in the community of Nuthe-Urstromtal in the Brandenburg district of Teltow-Fläming. The village is not mentioned in the relevant hiking and travel guides, not even the current excursion guide of the Fläming Tourist Association 2021 / 2022 pays tribute to Gottsdorf. And so a place goes unmentioned that doesn't deserve exactly that - the Gottsdorfer Obermühle. The water mill, which is under monument protection, was built in 1285 and still rattles just as reliably today as it did 736 years ago - that should be unique, at least in the state of Brandenburg.
