A nice place to rest in the middle of the forest. Cozy, but not cheap. It's still worth a break and the coffee was delicious.

It looks like the witch's house from Hansel and Gretel: But nobody needs to be afraid of the milk house in the Siebengebirge nature reserve. On the contrary: stopping there after a walk is a pleasure. The café can only be reached on foot, the car can be parked in a parking lot in Königswinter, from there it goes up towards Drachenfels. When you arrive at the milk house, fresh waffles or pancakes await the hikers. But there are also hearty things like a Vesper plate or homemade meatballs.

"... The first mention of the "milk house", or the building that used to stand here, was in 1826. Today it is assumed that it was part of the castle courtyard, which housed the Wolkenburg and Drachenfels Castle with agricultural products and formerly served the dairy and pig industry.
Today, the milk house serves as a place for excursions and a rest stop on hikes through the Siebengebirge and can only be reached on foot. Idyllically located on the Elsiger Feld, it invites thirsty and hungry hikers to linger in the middle of an ancient tree population. ..."
