On the way from Ihringen to Blankenhornsberg lies the beautiful Duttental. Easy to reach if you turn right about 300m after the Jewish cemetery. The Duttental is signposted there. There is also a district stone that marks the "Mättle". It is very nice to see the "reallocation". The viticulture was terraced in the 1970s to make it easier to work the vines. These terraces are very nice to see in the Duttental. You pull to the right of the Duttental up to the "Hägrot" elevation. From there you have a beautiful view down to Ihringen, or to Freiburg and the Black Forest, over to the Markgräflerland and the Rhine valley. In the middle of this valley is the "Duttental" refuge, which invites you to take a break. Have you already found the stone labeled Duttental? Then take a look at the back, what does it say?
