The highest waterfall in Germany! In the middle of nature, but still right next to the center of Triberg, the amounts of water plunge over 163 meters. However, word has already got around outside the town limits that there is something to see here. Therefore, I recommend coming in the evening or earlier in the morning when it is less busy.

Admission: 8 euros. With the guest card from the site, entry is even free.

The Triberg waterfalls are well worth seeing. The paths are well developed and easy to climb even for inexperienced hikers with a little physical condition. On nice days, unfortunately, very crowded - but still very worth seeing.

In rainy weather, masses of water rush over the rocks. You can get very close to the waterfalls via bridges and platforms.
There are probably 3 cash registers, one at the bottom, one at the top and one at the entrance from the Asklepios clinic.
In between there are other entrances (e.g. from the waterworks, Froschbrünnelè and Hebelweg), where there are no cash registers.

You can have a lot of fun here. The waterfall can be visited for 8 euros. You can also leave a car in the paid parking lot. After 7 p.m. you don't have to pay for the parking space. Unfortunately, you are not allowed to visit the waterfall even so late, although there are many "visitors" afterwards. Something special here is that you can hand-feed squirrels.

The Triberg Waterfalls fall down in 7 steps. A great sight by day, in the evening, when everything is illuminated is even more beautiful. I was here in the fall, so I recommend sturdy shoes. You should already be a bit sure-footed. Due to the gradients, I would recommend the ways only limited for prams. Wide enough they are but when it is full on WE has a problem.

Entry for adults has increased to € 9 (June 2021). I did not see an entrance without a ticket booth. I think you can hardly avoid it. Side entrances from the Bergsee or Schönwalder Weg are recommended. Much less going on. In the spring after the snow has melted there is a lot of water in the stream. Incredible - if you were up at the source of the Gutach a few days before - how the brook with many other tributaries turned into such a huge waterfall. Since you constantly get an even better perspective in front of the lens, the battery of smartphones or photos tends to sag. Therefore take a power bank or spare batteries with you:)
