The Geological Museum of the Polish Geological Institute – National Research Institute is located in Warsaw at ul. Rakowiecka 4, with an entrance from ul. Wiśniowa. It was established in 1919 and is located in a historic building erected in the years 1925–1930 according to the design of Marian Lalewicz.
The exhibition includes eight permanent thematic exhibitions devoted to, among others, the structure of the Earth, the geological history of Poland, mineral resources, magmatic, sedimentary and metamorphic processes. A separate exhibition presents the history of the Polish Geological Institute in the years 1919–1999.
