On Offenburg's highest mountain, the Brandeckkopf at 686.1 meters, stands the Brandeck Tower, which is another 23 meters high. So when you climb the tower, which is over 120 years old, you are over 700 meters high - and enjoy a truly beautiful view.

The Brandeck Tower is a central point that impresses with a great view, nice seating and is very easy to reach from the Wolfsgrube, the Talweg Barfusspfad, both Zell Weierbach and also not far from Brandeck Lindle, Ohlsbach and Durbach. The trails in the direction of Brandeck Lindle, Wolfsgrube and Hohes Horn are really all great. Here it is worth the ascent and descent, whether by bike or on foot!

The shortest route is from the Durbach-Gebirg hiking car park, Gasthaus Hohberg, or further down, take the Brandeckweg turnoff.
These are both ascents from the north. First, you reach the Brandecklindle (497 m), a hiking car park (an ideal starting point for gravel and mountain bike tours). From there, head west to the Brandeckturm (693 m) + 23 m tower height.
To the east, you reach the Späneplatz (a place with a fountain, barbecue area, and hut) via the Matzebene (almost new).
After that, you have two options for reaching the Mooskopf (876 m) and Siedigkopf (879 m, Lothardenkmal (1999). Left via the Michelbrunnen and right via the Geisschleifsattel (hut) just below southeast of the Moos. BOTH are interesting.
If you need water, head over the Michelbrunnen.
