    Built for the 2012 Olympics and Paralympics, the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park has since been re-developed as a tech hub, one of the largest urban parks in Western Europe with offices, apartments, and university buildings. You can visit the ArcelorMittal Orbit, a striking red tower, in the park. Don't forget to stop by the Lee Valley VeloPark, too!

    There are lots of cycle paths to explore the area, but take care of pedestrians and other cyclists.

          The Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park was the main venue for the 2012 Olympics.
          In the years since, major works have been ongoing - in accordance with the 20-year site sustainability / transformation plan that was part of the Olympic bid.
          Surrounding by waterways - the Lea River and myriad canals- it already provides multiple opportunities for riding - and walking - quiet and busy, tranquil and chaotic.
          When works are complete an entire new region of London will feature museums, workplaces, housing and shopping - plus the amazing green space it already is.
