If the Bridge of Orchy hotel is a little rich for your blood, here you'll find camping with an infinitely better view and a price point you just can't beat.

With flat spots and room for ten plus tents, the spot on the other side of the river has everything you could want for a wild camping spot. The river runs past fast but shallow, creating a beautiful soundtrack to sleep to and, for the brave, a wonderful bathing spot in the morning.

On a clear day, you'll be treated to beautiful views in all directions. If the weather is inclement – to be expected in Scotland – there are a few more sheltered spots alongside the bridge.

A good way point along the West Highland Way. From here the short walk over the hill to inveroran is easy and has good views.
There is places to eat and stay here, and the train line stop. Parking in the hotel car park for Munros.
