The present church was erected after drawings by architect Peter Christian Sörensen and inaugurated August 9, 1868.
The old 12th century church in Bosarp was located about 500 meters south of today's church and was demolished in connection with the new one being built. Building materials from the old church were used for the new and some furniture was also moved there, including the baptismal font. However, the baptism is of later vintage.
The church has two bells, one of which comes from Gullarp's old church, which was demolished in the 19th century. The second bell was purchased in 1655 from Helsingör and cast in 1810. The pulpit in Baroque style dates from the 17th century. It is adorned with carved figures representing the evangelists.
Bosarp's old church is preserved as ruin.
