The Lantz Park is a 14.5-acre park in the district of Düsseldorf Lohausen.

In 1804, Heinrich Balthasar Lantz acquired the knight seat Lohausen by Ferdinand Freiherr von Calcum called Lohausen. Probably 1805-1806, the mansion of the Lantz family was built on the foundations of the old moated castle. 1878-1879 was followed by the construction of the funeral chapel of the Lantz family.

The park was created in three time periods. The middle part emerged from an old forest plot, which is already registered in a map of 1702 ("Siege of Kaiserswerth" 1702, lithograph by Bouffard, from: Lamigue, Histoire du Prince d'Orange and de Nassau, Leeuwarden 1715, copperplate engraving , City Museum Düsseldorf, Inventory IV 284). The park in the front area around the mansion was built according to a plan by Joseph Clemens Weyhe from 1858 in the style of the English landscape garden. The rear part of the park around the chapel was designed by Julius Bouché in 1880 in the style of historicism. In 1944 a bunker was built in the park for the Gauleiter of Dusseldorf and Reich Defense Commander Friedrich Karl Florian. In 1945, the park, especially the Bouché part, was badly damaged by artillery fire.

The Lantz family lived in the plant for five generations. In 1972, the city of Dusseldorf bought property and park together with surrounding land. The A 44 motorway, an allotment garden and sports facilities were built adjacent to the park on former Gutsflächen. 1974-1978 was a partial renovation of the park based on the park care of Franz Joseph Greub. Since 1978 the park has been open to the public.
