The Hoefweg is a lovely double-track gravel road in the middle of the fields between Scherpenzeel and Barneveld. The road is good for all types of cyclists including racing bikes, but most perfect for gravel bikes. Especially since the part of Hoefweg to the north of this segment quickly turned into a hard dirt road, which is not great for the average racing cyclist to cycle.
